Where do we even start? Tom and crew made sure our wedding was special from start to finish. From our tasting to our wedding day, service definitely exceeded our expectations. We are foodies and weren’t sure a buffet dinner would be the right fit for us, but our guests agreed the food was top-notch! T&L Catering did an absolutely fantastic job catering a party of 40 for my wife’s birthday. Tom was patient and thorough going through all the choices available in setting up the contract – the different food selections, tent size, number of tables & their set up, tent flaps for if it rained, fans for if it was hot, etc, etc, etc. The tent was put up two days ahead; T&L staff arrived early the day of the party and did a great job setting up and making things look special. The staff themselves were very efficient, helpful and friendly. And, the food, of course, was terrific (and plenty of it). We had our wedding at the beautiful James Ward Mansion, and T&L Catering was terrific to work with from start to finish. The food tasting was great – making it hard to choose between all of the many delicious options! The food on our wedding day was fantastic, everything from vegetable spring rolls to bacon-wrapped scallops to Asian style beef! However, the real star of the show was our matri’d Jaci. She made sure everything went off without a hitch and truly went out of her way for all of us, making each of us (not just the bride and groom) feel special and important. We used T&L for our baby shower this weekend. We ordered the hot and cold buffet for 50 people with delivery and setup. The delivery was on time and took about 30 minutes to set up. We didn't start eating until almost an hour later and the food was nice and hot! It was also absolutely delicious and our guests all raved about it. There was so much food that people got to take leftovers home, which was great. Overall, we absolutely loved our experience and highly recommend T&L if you're looking for a caterer! Good food makes a good wedding! Tom worked with me and made me feel taken care of from the start. The food was delicious. We especially loved the beef wellington app and the filet of sole. I engaged T&L for a conference but would use them for a wedding as well. The food was amazing. The owner was really accommodating to all of the last minute changes and executed on the day of so quickly, I didn't realize they had came, set up and left. T&L Catering is amazing! Our wedding guests absolutely loved the food, including the mason jar salads! A special shout out to our MD, Jaci. She’s an absolute firecracker who made every request come true and our vision for set up seamless. The staff was so attentive to us all night, and we truly had no worries from beginning to end. They were so helpful with breaking down too, as we DIYd most of our wedding decor. We had our wedding at The James Ward Mansion, which T&L Catering works with quite often, so it was really nice to be working with people who knew the ins-and-outs of everything. What an amazing team! My wedding was on a Monday, and I truly wasn’t expecting such outstanding service from start to finish. Jaci was incredibly attentive, organized, and a pleasure to work with. T&L Catering is an outstanding catering company to work with and made our wedding day incredible. We worked directly with both Tom and Pam throughout the planning process for our wedding, and they could not have been more helpful and accommodating when it came to making our day amazing. The amount of food/dining options they offer for a wedding reception is immense, and there are no wrong choices when it comes to your decision. Our guests raved about the selection and quality of the food — from cocktail hour to dinner to dessert, everything was outstanding. Everyone says that it’s so hard for the bride and groom to eat at their wedding reception, but our maitre d’ Georgeanne made sure that wasn’t the case, making sure that even though we were constantly running around talking to our guests, there was food ready for us and on our table at all times, she was absolutely tremendous. Overall, we can’t recommend T&L enough — their level of service from the planning process through the day of our event was unmatched, and the food was spectacular, they’re the best! Michael Yard

I booked TL Catering Linden location for my son's Swag 16 party. Everything was great from start to finish. The office staff was pleasant and helpful. On the day of the event the staff was amazing. T and L catering was great! Every time I called with a question there was someone to answer my questions. Pam, help me decide on the menu and appetizers and help me through the whole process of putting it all together to fit my party. They made it so easy. The food was great and I had many people comment about how good it was. The server was a joy to work with and helped run the show so I could enjoy my . Bonus was I had so much food left over! Having never used a caterer before, I searched, found, and read the reviews of T&L Caterering. So many 5 stars!! We booked them for a July 5th Wedding Garden Party for 80 people at our home. During the process Tom & Linda were very patient with me and my numerous questions, which I really appreciated.The price was very reasonable and we hoped for the best. I have to say that they went above and beyond what we expected! The 30 x 45 tent, tables, & chairs were delivered 2 days before. They took the care to set up all the tables & chairs, & even cleaned each & every chair! The service the day of the party was wonderful & prompt. The food was generous, delicious & well presented. The dishware was a nice sturdy quality plastic. Even the cutlery was very sturdy and coated to look like real silverware. Our guests raved about the food, especially the steak & mushrooms, the eggplant rolitini, & the chicken parm. Even the dessert was top notch cookies & mini cakes. I am currently at Taste of Linden and I had the absolute pleasure of trying T&L Catering’s pasta in cream sauce with sausage and mascarpone. This pasta is divine. The taste is well rounded, rich, and phenomenal to say the very least. Downright decadent. I’ve had seconds so far but I will definitely be going back for more..I can’t get enough!! I found T&L Catering through our wedding venue, James Ward Mansion, for our wedding in June 2024. From beginning to end, T&L was a warm but professional presence while planning our wedding. Although I cannot recommend James Ward due to several errors made by their staff, working with T&L was the silver lining during a stressful process. I communicated with Pam and Tom Tavalaro and their chef (sorry that I'm forgetting his name!) leading up to our event. They answered our many questions with care and provided such great information whenever we needed it. On the day of the wedding, they surprised us with a few extra dishes, including one that incorporated my husband's Caribbean heritage. Because our venue required a room flip, their staff also set up our table place settings and made everything beautiful. They were so thoughtful -- I definitely recommend them. Jaryn

There was an open house at the venue we eventually chose for our wedding. While there we met Leo of T&L Catering. While talking to him about some of our ideas, his excitement matched ours. We knew we wanted to go with T&L. For a year I was in contact with Tom as he helped us craft our Menu and answer all our questions. As the wedding approached I talked to Pam who was very accommodating when it came to finalizing payment and details. They were so helpful, when I told them 48 hours prior about guests changing menu options or being unavailable, I was simply told all guests will be accommodated. But the cherry on top of working with T&L was our maitre d', Jaci. This woman is an absolute queen. She walked in and assisted us with final decor set up so we could focus more on getting ready. She would update us with photos and ask any questions to help capture our vision. She also helped to keep us on a schedule without being pushy and, most importantly, she made SURE we were able to have time to enjoy the entrees at our own wedding (which I've heard is a rare occurrence). From day 1, T&L knew what we wanted with our wedding and made sure to make it happen. They were integral in helping us to have a perfect wedding day and I can't sing their praises enough. Thank you!! Tom was wonderful to work with, from the very beginning when we first reached out, to the day before our wedding with last minute questions. My husband and I had our wedding at my family farm, and hired T&L for the food and the tent/chairs/tables. Everything looked incredible, and the food was delicious!! Tom works with you every step of the way, and has over 40 years of experience with event planning like this. On the day of, Stephanie was our Maitre D for our wedding, and was marvelous. She made sure we were fed, served us dinner so we didn’t have to get up, and made all of our guests feel welcome. The bartenders and all of the staff were awesome too. I couldn’t believe how everything came together so wonderfully. Hire T&L! They are very professional, nice, and amazing to work with for wonderful, quality events that are above and beyond. Great catering service from start to finish. Note that if your event is at James Ward you must use T&L Catering. Do not let that restriction keep you from booking with them. We enjoyed our contact with the owner Tom, head chef Leo, and assistant Pamela. Options were presented clearly. We had many questions along the way and T&L answered all of them promptly and courteously. Whenever they did not know something they told us who to go to. We were given sufficient time during the tasting process. Our guests really liked the food, especially the appetizers, steak, and pasta. They accommodated our cocktail creations; we provided the alcohol and other drink ingredients and recipes and they made them which guests also enjoyed. They helped us decide the exact table setting and it all came out looking great. Ray

A friend recommended T&L Catering, this friend has been using them for all her family events and had all great things to say about them. I decided to do a bit of digging since I needed a catering company to use for one of our biggest school fundraisers. After contacting several catering companies, T&L Catering was great from beginning till end. It was a breakfast full of am delights, all breakfast was amazing. Not only would we use them for our school events/fundraisers again but I personally would use them for my family and friends events. We celebrated my daughter’s Quinceañera at The Grand Banquet two weeks ago. I can’t express how happy we were with their services. Everything was a breeze with them. I didn’t have to worry about anything during the party. Linda was so helpful with everything, specially since we had different color schemes for our tables. She made sure everything was as we envisioned. Stephanie worked our party, she is an absolute joy to work with and such a professional.
